    Usbnet works..
you must manually insert proper usb gadget module g_ether for usbnet
gpe-conf usb (Usb settings) doesn’t work.

On c3000, the opie image doesn’t do hinge rotation properly. I recall it did in (I think) the RC. I checked and chkhinge wasn’t installed, but adding that didn’t take care of it as I thought it would. Back to GPE I suppose, even though I can’t get e-wm to work.

    Just wanted to congratulate also.

It looks like the akita will start being useable at last : it’s very close from wakeing up when it’s alarm’s time ! Only a minor patch to correct I think.

Now at last I’ll be able to use my akita as a real do-it-all PDA (including waking me up in the morning ;)

    Thanks guys !

Downloaded both 3.5.4.1/OPIE and GPE for the C1000. OPIE flashed without difficulty but ran “slugishly” with the system refusing to respond at times. In fact, painfully slugishly. GPE runs like a charm though.

Are there directions or pointers to packages for putting IPSEC back on the system?

Any chance you could include kernel-module-tun in this build?

  8. Sybren Stüvelon 05 Apr 2006 at 08:38

I second the request for the ‘tun’ kernel module. I’m a big fan of OpenVPN, and I use it to secure my WiFi network. Without the ‘tun’ kernel module it’s impossible to use OpenVPN, though.

Is there any support for big (like 4GB) SD cards available or planned with OZ. I have tested one 4GB sd card with my c1000 with oz 3.5.4.1 and 3.5.3 but non worked. I only found a threat on the OE Forum that announces support for sharp- and cacko 1.23.

    Thanks, …axel

  10. kernel-module-tun is in alpha2 already - we will release it for test soon

For those who can’t wait (I’m just too eager to get OpenVPN running ;-)) the tun module for 2.6.15 can be downloaded from my website at http://www.unrealtower.org/files/tun.ko

I’m using it on my C3000 to post this :-)

I just want to add that I’m NOT a member of the OZ team. This module has seen virtually NO testing. Use it at your own risk. If you want something that’s stable, wait for an official release.
